I don't know if all/any of you read American Theatre magazine but if you don't, you should! :) And your kids definitely should. One of the things that I love most about being involved in theatre is listening to and watching directors at work. They are some of the most interesting people I know and watching them at work is almost like watching a show itself. A friend sent me this article, written by a high school director, and it includes issues of casting as to gender and diversity. I thought some of you might enjoy reading it.
